About Stil & Stein

Made slowly, from scratch, with family.

I learned to knit as a little girl, sitting beside my Nana and my mom. My mom and I still knit together today, and one of the blankets in this shop was made by her hands.

Craft runs deep in our family. My Nana owned a gourmet kitchen shop in Dallas, Texas, called Green Gables, and in our family, making something well and sharing it has always been a way of showing love. I carry that with me in everything I make from scratch, whether it is a loaf of bread, a pot of soup, a hand-knit throw, or a tumbler of my own design.

My New Mexico roots shaped my love of homes that are warm, practical, and full of handmade touches. Over the years, I lived in Johannesburg and later, my family and I lived in Switzerland. In Switzerland, I learned to bake Zopf, the traditional Sunday bread, and to cook fondue the way it is truly done. I also fell in love with Swiss design, which is clean and simple, where every object has a purpose and nothing feels fussy.

Stil & Stein brings those two worlds together: the cozy, lived-in warmth of the Southwest and cabin country, paired with the calm, uncluttered elegance of European design. Each piece is made with quality materials and finished with care, because I believe in making pieces to keep, not to replace.

Whether it is a throw for your favorite chair or a tumbler for your morning coffee, I hope it feels a little like home.
